Read Emails, Docs, Calendar without Internet connection

Hyderabad, September 2, 2011: Google has launched the Gmail Offline app for Chrome browser by which users can get access to Gmail, Google Calendar and Google Docs without a internet connection. Gmail offline will be available from today onwards wheras the offline Google Calendar and Google Docs will be available in the next week, said Google in a release. Gmail Offline beta is a Gmail app built to support offline access, allowing mail to be read, responded to, searched and archived without network access. Initially Gmail Offline will automatically synchronize messages and will later queue the mails for further view based on the availability of the Internet connection. To avail the Offline Gmail users must install the Gmail Offline app from the Chrome Web Store, and continue using Gmail when you lose your connection by clicking the Gmail Offline icon on Chrome’s “new tab” page. The Google Calendar or Google Docs offline will be available by clicking gear icon at the top right corner of the web app and select the option for offline access.
