'Veena Vaadanam’ is the first documentary in Malayalam filmed in a Mobile Phone. The documentary was filmed by my friend Mr. Sathish Kalathil using his Nokia N70 Mobile phone. Sujith AD, my colleague was the protagonist of the film. The whole idea of the documentary began when we asked Sujith to draw a painting to be placed in our office. The documentary visualises how the painting was created, along with a short descripton of various world class painters, works and techniques of India and the World .
The shooting of ‘Veena Vaadanam’ was started during July 2007 and completed in four months time. The documentary was released on July 20, 2008 by Sri. Ambily noted Malayalam cine director.
‘Veena Vaadanam’ is regarded as the first Documentary in Malayalam filmed in Mobile Phone.
