John Ulahannan of Doordarshan Trivandrum, the first television reporter in Malayalam died at Trivandrum yesterday. He was familiar with almost all Malayalees who were the viewers of our old Doordarshan before the satellite channels came in. The news of his death made my mind travel behind 20 years. It was really sad to hear about John Ulahannan's demise.He is a very familiar face for everyone who used to watch DD news.He a was really talented journalist.Now,I can't see any T.V reporters around in Malayalam who can be compared with him, in personality and presentation.We will miss him !
